Dancer, acrobat and actor Camilo Bentancor was born in Uruguay and brought up in Argentina. Graduated from the Buenos Aires School of Fine Arts and the Mario Perez Circus School and continued his studies at the Studio Magenia: The European Academy of Physical Theatre in Paris with a specialisation in pantomime.
His collaborations include: the Grupo de Teatro Catalinas Sur theatre troop in Buenos Aires, the Circus de la Costa, the theatrical Circus Circulante, the dancing group Sinequanon and many independent productions.
In theatre, he collaborated with Maria–Louiza Papadopoulou, Martha Frintzila and Lydia Koniordou. Director and producer of many performances in the 16th century Italian theatrical genre of Comedia Dell’Arte, where ‘masked’ characters acted based on improvisations, sketches and scenarios.
Co-founder of the Ki Omos Kineitai dancing group, and founder of arts space La Nada a collaboration of artists with diverse backgrounds where dance, circus and performance techniques meet and blend.
