WHO WE ARE // ABOUT US

Konstandina Efthimiadou was born and raised in the North of Greece. She be-gan with rhythmic gymnastics and trained for ten years before entering the Na-tional School of Dance in Athens.
In her spare time Kostandina is following her strong passion for traditional Greek folk dance and since 2012 she is practicing the art of Tai Chi Chuan.
Over the years she has collaborated with some of the most important person-nalities of contemporary dance, including Akram Khan, Wim Vandekey-bus/Ultima Vez, Roberto Olivan, RootlessRoot, and Jukstapoz. She has traveled to and performed in festivals and venues worldwide.
She has worked under the artistic direction of Akram Khan as a rehearsal direc-tor to restage part of ‘Vertical Road’ repertory for the National Youth Dance Company in UK, the Hellenic Dance Company in Greece and the Royal Danish Ballet.
Her work as a choreographer began in 2012.
She has created ‘Henshin’, ‘Dear Michael’ & ’Lapses of Light’-together with mu-sician/composer Kostas Makrygiannakis, ‘Looking forward to meeting’, ‘Mind the Heart’, Hypnos’, ‘blue dot’.
In 2018, together with composer/musician Panú , they formed the artistic duet ‘kóka&panú’. Their works ‘in case of loss’ and ‘evil unicorns*-based on a false story’ are performed in Greece and abroad. They are currently creating their third show ‘materia’ which will premiere in August 2020, in 26th Kalamata In-ternational Dance Festival.
Konstandina is regularly leading workshops in international festivals and voca-tional schools such as SEAD (Salzburg), State School of Dance (Athens), Deltebre Dance Festival (Spain), El Danseu (Spain), Tainan University of Fine Arts (Tai-wan), HKAPA (Hong Kong), Flic Scuola di Circo (Italy), NYDC (UK) etc.
